To accommodate expansion of services the Department of Anesthesiology, Virginia Commonwealth University, is recruiting additional anesthesiologists. We seek anesthesiologists with subspecialty fellowship education. Those with fellowship training in obstetric anesthesia, critical care medicine and neuro anesthesia are in particular need.
The Department provides more than 20,000 anesthetics per year and provides critical care services in the cardiothoracic and neuroscience critical care units. We care for approximately 2,000 parturients annually; renovation of our labor and delivery unit will be completed within 12 months. We are a Level I Trauma Center and one of the longest established solid organ transplantation programs in the world.
Candidate must have good communication, clinical and teaching skills. Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA.
